NutriTrack privacy policy

Last updated 23 July 2026. This policy covers the NutriTrack mobile app on iOS and Android.

The short version. Everything you log — foods, portions, recipes, weights and fasting history — is stored in a database on your device and nowhere else. There are no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and nothing about you is ever sold.

Accounts

NutriTrack has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of ours. We could not build a profile of you if we wanted to, because your log never leaves your phone.

What we collect, and what we don't

DataWhat happens to it
Your food log, recipes, water, weight and fasting historyOn your device only. Never uploaded.
Food searches and scanned barcodesWhen you search for a food or scan a barcode, that text or barcode number is sent to public food databases (USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts) to fetch nutrition facts. It is not sent with any identifier and is not linked to you.
Apple Health data (weight, water, calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat)Only if you connect Apple Health in Profile → Apple Health. NutriTrack reads it onto your device and merges it into your local log. It is read-only — NutriTrack never writes to Health — and health data is never uploaded, never shared with anyone, and never used for advertising.
Email or nameNot collected. There is no account.
Advertising identifiersNot collected. There are no ads and no ad SDKs in the app.
Analytics or usage trackingNot collected. There is no analytics SDK in the app.
LocationNot collected.

Who else touches your data

ServiceWhat it receives
USDA FoodData CentralA public US government nutrition database. Receives the food name you search for, nothing else.
Open Food FactsA public, non-profit food database. Receives the food name or barcode you search for, nothing else.

Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhy
CameraTo scan a barcode so a packaged food logs in one step. The picture is processed on your device and never saved or uploaded — only the decoded barcode number is looked up.
Apple HealthTo read the weight, water and nutrition you already have in Health, if you choose to connect it. Read-only, and everything it reads stays on your device.
NotificationsTo remind you to log a meal or to end a fast, if you turn reminders on. Scheduled on your device.

How long we keep things

Data on your device stays until you delete it or remove the app. There is no server side to this — we hold nothing about you, so there is nothing for us to keep or to purge.

Deleting your data

Delete any entry from the screen it appears on. To erase everything, delete the app — because all data is on-device, removing the app permanently removes your entire log.

There is no account to delete. We hold no data about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to erase on your behalf.
